A tour of the dashboard

Find your way around the RECON dashboard, read the charts, filter and search your scans, and check your Cyber Token balance.

The dashboard brings your scans together and helps you find results. This lesson walks through it with the Meccanica Adda account.

Summary

The sidebar sits on the left, two charts in the middle track your attack surface over time, and further down you find the list of all your scans. Your Cyber Token balance is always one click away in your account menu.

The sidebar

  • Dashboard: the home page with the charts and the scan list.
  • External Targets: save and manage your scan targets for quick access.
  • Internal Probes: your Scout probes and internal scans. This entry appears only if internal scanning is enabled for your account.
  • Schedules: recurring scans.
  • Settings: holds API & Integrations, Integrations and Preferences; administrators also see the administration sections.

The charts

  • Entry Points & Assets shows how your attack surface changes over time. Use the menus above the chart to pick what to show (Entry Points & Assets, Entry Points or Assets), the scope (All scopes, External only, Internal only) and the period (from Last 7 days to Last 6 Months).
  • Number of Scans counts the scans run in the period, with external and internal scans stacked in the same bar.

The scan list

  • The chips at the top separate All scans, Mine, Shared with me and Shared by me.
  • Type in Search domains or IPs..., for example meccanicaadda.it, to narrow the list.
  • The Filter menu shows only scans in a given state, for example Completed or In Progress.
  • The New Mapping button starts a new external scan.

Your Cyber Token balance

  • Open your account menu at the top right: the Cyber Tokens row shows the tokens available, without leaving the dashboard.
  • The number is green when you have tokens, amber when you have gone past your balance but have a saved payment method, and red when you have neither tokens nor a payment method.
  • Clicking the row opens the Billing tab of your Orizon profile.
