Sharing and exports

Summary

There are two ways to get results to the people who need them: export them to a file, or share the scan with a colleague. In this lesson you export a PDF report, then share the Meccanica Adda group with Giulia Ronchi, who looks after compliance, and see what appears on her side.

Key points

• Export. In the scan, at the top right, click Export and choose a format:
  • PDF Report: a document to read and forward, including to people who do not use RECON;
  • CSV Spreadsheet and JSON Data: for working with the raw data;
  • Probe Logs (.md): internal scans only, the full execution log of the Scout probe.
• The PDF. Click Export Mapping: the report preview opens, with the company and the scanned domain on the cover. To download the file, click Save PDF.
• Share. Open the scan and, from the Scan menu, choose Share. Only the owner of the scan sees this option. Until you share it, the scan is Private — only you have access.
• With whom. Pick a colleague from your company in the first tab, or invite someone By email. A work email address is required: personal and disposable providers are not accepted. If the address is not on Orizon yet, the dialog tells you how the person will be invited.
• Role and revoking. Once shared, your colleague appears under People with access as a Viewer: they can look, but not change anything. Use Remove access to take access away at any time.
• Sharing a group. When you share a group, the recipient sees all of its results, including the scans of the individual domains.
• On the dashboard. The Shared by me filter collects the scans you have shared, marked with the Shared label. Recipients find them under the Shared with me filter.
• On the recipient's side. Clicking the Shared label shows who shared the scan and when, with a note that it was shared for viewing and that only the owner can manage who has access.
